Q: I’m a brand/editor that would love to work with you. Do you accept samples or do sponsored posts?
Yes, Kitchen Lit is open to giveaways, sponsored posts, product reviews, ads and more. Please reach out to [email protected] to discuss further.
Q: Do you purchase the cookbooks and classes that you review or are they given to you?
A lot of the cookbooks and classes I review I have purchased. I do receive some items to review for free and I always make sure I say so in the post.
Q: How do you decide which cookbooks and classes to review?
I am always searching for new cookbooks and through my research I find a lot of the cookbooks and classes I review. I also take suggestions from readers and publishers.
Q: Do you cook all of the dishes yourself?
Yes, I cook all of the dishes I review myself. Sometimes my family helps with prep or if we have multiple things cooking on the stove at once.
Q: What is your background in food?
When I was really young, I was always baking in the kitchen with my Nana and my mom. Growing up I didn’t do a lot of cooking focused mainly on baking and satisfying my sweet tooth. I still love to make homemade fudge and chocolate chip cookies. In college I really started cooking and about the same time began my cookbook collection. I kept cooking over the years and realized how much I enjoyed it. As the years have gone by I continue to develop my skills and am always in search of my next cookbook.
Q: Do you take all of the photos on your blog?
All of the photos of recipes I have made are taken by me. I do have some stock photos and some AI photos that I use throughout my blog. Additionally, some photos of me have been taken by others. Plus, photos used in recipe roundup posts are original photos from the blogger/creator of the recipe.
Q: Can I republish one of your photos?
Yes, but you must credit the photo with a link back to Kitchen Lit.
