    May 13, 2026 / No Comments

Cookbook By: Arash Hashemi “Consider this collection more than just recipes; it’s a celebration of flavors, health, and community,” Arash Hashemi author of Shred Happens: So Easy, So Good: 100+ Protein-Packed Mediterranean Favorites with a Low-Carb Twist; A Cookbook. Cookbooks that can be considered diet or healthy sometime gets a bad reputation, but I have found that most of them have really valuable information and a lot of delicious recipes in them. This cookbook is a perfect example of that. I love all the ideas to help you incorporate more protein into your meals. I’ve never meant a carb I didn’t like so it can be a struggle to get enough protein.  It…

Warm Your Bones: Cozy Recipes for Chilly Days and Winter Nights

    May 5, 2026 / No Comments

Cookbook By: Vanessa Seder “Warm Your Bones assumes that using a stove and oven and warming up your kitchen is a good thing; thus long, slow-cooking processes like braising, roasting, baking, and stewing come into rotation,” Vanessa Seder. I had no idea when I bought Warm Your Bones: Cozy Recipes for Chilly Days and Winter Nights that it was written by someone who lives in Maine. That’s where my mom’s side of the family is from and where I was born.  No matter what time of year it is I find myself turning to cozy recipes. I’m not sure how much it rains where you live but even during the summer sometimes you…

Cook Your Way Through Music City: Nashville Cooking Classes

    March 18, 2026 / No Comments

Have you ever tried a cooking class? I believe that no matter what your experience level is that everyone can benefit or just have fun in a cooking class. When I lived in Nashville years ago, I took classes from a bunch of different places, unfortunately, most of those have closed. So, I am now on the hunt for the best of the best Nashville cooking classes. My first step was to research and create a master list of Nashville cooking classes and the result is below. I plan to spend some time over the remainder of the year testing out a bunch of these Nashville cooking classes to see which ones are…

  • Have you ever walked through a graveyard and seen recipes on gravestones?
