The beautiful photograph of this cake drew me in immediately. I was pleasantly surprised that I had most of the ingredients in my pantry. My bundt pan had gone missing so I did buy a new one of those at HomeGoods for only $13.
To ensure great results make sure you measure out all of the ingredients for the cake before you start mixing up the batter. The cake mixed well together. It was the color of light hot chocolate mix when raw but baked much darker.
After I let the cake cool for two hours I made the ganache glaze. I followed the directions exactly, however, my glaze was much thinner than the glaze in the photo. It was rainy the day I made the cake so that may have affected the ganache glaze.
The cake still looked pretty and tasted amazing. It was so rich and paired perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I can see myself making this for special occasions and maybe every now and them when I just really want something chocolate.
