I am a sucker for fun Halloween treats. Sometimes the recipes are super complicated and take way too much time. Luckily, I stumbled upon The Easy Halloween Cookbook 2021 which has recipes that are super quick and easy. Your kids could help with most of the recipes and although they may make a mess they will definitely have fun. Plus the recipes are really delicious and not ones I had seen before.
Making Halloween treats should be something fun and not so draining that you dread the holiday. The recipes in The Easy Halloween Cookbook 2021 are the prefect blend of ease and deliciousness.
Halloween Hot Chocolate
The weather has already gotten colder in a lot of places by Halloween and I have never heard of making a Halloween Hot Chocolate, but it’s such a good idea and a fun way to keep warm!
I decided to use some large clear beer mugs for the hot chocolate and it was really fun. The recipe is very simple and easy to follow, plus cooks really quickly. I didn’t like the gummy worms that I found at the store so I picked up some gummy witches toes and they look really spooky in the hot chocolate. Kids would love being able to pick there own gummies to decorate their Halloween hot chocolate.
Ghost Cookies
I love to make Halloween cookies but some recipes are really intimidating even for me and I bake a lot. When I found this recipe for Ghost cookies I loved that it used Milano cookies that you buy from the store. It makes it so much quicker to have a treat that looks like it took you hours to make.
The recipe directions are easy. To melt the chocolate I followed the microwave directions on the bag. Over the years I have always found that the chocolate seems to melt better in the microwave then on the stove, plus less risk of burning it. I didn’t think I was going to have enough chocolate but I had plenty to coat all the cookies.
Kids would have so much fun dipping their cookies in the melted chocolate plus I think the ones that look a little wonky are even more ghost like. Oh and of course they are delicious! Definitely a great treat for any party.
