“No matter your reason for picking up this book, the easy-to-adopt lifestyle shift of drinking smoothies will get you started on a patch to feeling and looking your very best,” Catherine McCord.
Last year I had the pleasure of going to an event in NYC when Catherine McCord was introducing her new cookbook, Smoothie Project. She made her smoothies and we were able to try them. The smoothies were really good and we all left the event with a copy of the book.
I have been drinking smoothies off and on for about five years now. In this time I have found that smoothies for breakfast make a huge difference in how my day goes. I hope you like these recipes as much as I do.
Dragon Smoothie
I have never eaten dragon fruit before and that made me want to try this smoothie immediately. My local grocery store carried frozen dragon fruit so I used that in the smoothie.
The smoothie was refreshing and filling. I loved the pink color of it and it was a great way to try a new fruit.
Chocolate Cherry
Sweet smoothies are a great way to indulge your sweet tooth while still getting some great nutrition. I added some vanilla protein powder as a super boost. This was the first time I had used cacao in any of my smoothies and I was pleasantly surprised by the taste.
The chocolate cherry smoothie was sweet without being overpowering. It was easy to make and came out the perfect smoothie thickness for me. I will definitely make this one again.
Smoothie Project is a great cookbook to help anyone make a filling and satisfying smoothie. The recipes are easy to follow and quick to make. I would note that some of the ingredients can be more difficult to find but they are worth it. Let me know below which recipe you tried first!
