“I had to find a way to eat that was both healthy and delicious. A place where I could have healthy indulgences and not fall into the loop of guilt and overeating; where I could feel proud of myself, my food and my choices, each and every day,” Renata Trebing. Eating healthier is a big goal of mine for 2022 and I love to find cookbooks like Nourish Your Body

The recipes are very easy to follow and don’t require a ton of speciality items. I love that it is a 30-day meal plan so you can just open up the cookbook and jump start being healthier for 30 days. Nourish Your Body gives you weekly shopping lists with your weekly meal plans, which takes the guess work out of what you are eating this week.

Vanilla Raspberry Smoothie

I love a fruity smoothie, so I decided to try this recipe. The ingredients were easy to find and most were items that if you make smoothies on a regular basis you would have in your kitchen. I don’t normally make smoothies with nut butter in them as I feel like it can take over the flavor, but decided to try this one anyways.

The smoothie came out really green, I think I used a little too much spinach, I always pack the cup when I measure spinach for smoothies and probably shouldn’t have for this one. The color didn’t bother me, but I know it might for some people, so just remember not to add too much spinach. It did taste pretty good and I would make it again, but next time I would leave out the peanut butter as I think I would like it better that way.

Sheet Pan Sausage, Potatoes and Peppers

A sheet pan dinner is always a hit in my world. They provide a full dinner with a few minutes of prep and just a little bit of cleanup. I used orange and yellow peppers for this recipe but wished I had included some red for some more color on the plate. Also, I did use chicken sausage instead of turkey sausage as I had it in the fridge.

It was a very easy recipe to follow and was delicious. I will definitely be making this again. The seasoning mix was great and I want to try it using broccoli and cauliflower too, as I think it would work great for both of those too.
