    The Ultimate Meal Prep Cookbook

    August 10, 2021 / No Comments

“With the constant schedule juggling that we all do, meal planning and meal prep are invaluable skills to master if you want to avoid eating takeout every night,” America’s Test Kitchen. When I first saw The Ultimate Meal Prep Cookbook I was really intrigued by it’s promise of “one grocery list, one week of meals and no waste.” We all want to make our grocery shopping and meal planning easier so we know what’s for dinner. I have been meal planning for a really long time and find when I don’t that my eating tends to be a little strange. Some nights if I am on my own I will just eat cereal.…

    The Healthy Swaps Cookbook

    August 3, 2021 / No Comments

You don’t have to give up the foods you love when trying to eat better. All it takes is a few simple swaps,” Danielle Davis. It’s no secret that I love to eat. I try not to be restrictive with what I eat, however, I always find myself searching for healthier versions of the recipes I love. The Healthy Swaps Cookbook offers so many scrumptious recipes that it’s hard not to make all of them at once. Throughout the book the photograph is beautiful and makes you crave something new for dinner with each page you turn. I loved both of the recipes I made and can’t wait to try more.

    Marinated Mushrooms

    July 29, 2021 / 2 Comments

About six months ago I was flipping through a cookbook that used to be my Grandma’s. I have had the cookbook for years and looked through it before, but this time a recipe fell out. It was one of my Grandma’s hand written recipes and this one is for marinated mushrooms.  I don’t ever remember having these as a child but I quickly looked at the recipe and wanted to try it immediately. Since my sister and I were going to be traveling to my parents house in Florida, I decided to wait to make them until we were there.  The recipe is very simple but absolutely delicious. Yes, it has a lot…

    Hook, Line, and Supper

    July 27, 2021 / No Comments

“Think of this book as a codex, a master class on fish and seafood cookery. It will enable you to develop your own recipes that suit your time, your place, your season, and your taste,” Hank Shaw. My parents both grew up near the water, my Dad in New Orleans and my Mom in both Maine and Florida. Growing up we spent a lot of time near the water. I learned to fish as a kid but don’t do it very often anymore. Hook, Line, and Super drew my attention earlier this year and I was so excited to finally try these seafood recipes. The cookbook offers so much information on how to…

A lot of people wonder why should you read cookbooks? They think is there really anything new that can be in a cookbook? Will I learn anything from a new cookbook?   I have always found so many benefits from cookbooks. After college I realized I only knew how to cook a few savory items so I began collecting cookbooks. Through my cookbooks I have taught myself have to be a great home cook. They have provided me with a wealth of knowledge and entertainment over the years.  Travel Through Cookbooks Cookbooks allow you to explore the incredibly extensive world of cooking. Fresh Start for Your Kitchen: Food

    July 15, 2021 / No Comments

When it comes to food where do you start when getting a fresh start in your kitchen? It can be so overwhelming to start from scratch but don’t worry I have some great tips. Over the years I have moved a lot and when you move long distance you rarely can keep anything from your food.  1. Make a list of all the items you use on a regular basis.  If you cook a lot of Asian dishes there are basic pantry staples that you will need such as soy sauce. If you love Mexican food taco seasoning and fajita seasoning may be on your list.  2. Review my list of pantry and…

  • Here’s a sneak peek into Parm to Table: Italian American and American Italian Recipes from Ponza to the Bronx – which looks to be my next favorite cookbook. I love Italian food – it’s one of my favorites and one of the things I miss the most about living in NYC was the amazing Italian food we had a block away. I’ve been a huge fan of Christian Petroni since I first saw him on Food Network and was excited to check out his first cookbook. Trust me this is going to make you want to run to your kitchen. A few of the recipes I am looking forward to making are: Shrimp Parm, Aglio Olio, Chicken Francese, Fried Calamari, Fried Meatballs, and of course the Fresh Mozzarella Sticks.

Do you want to bring a little bit of Italian American recipes into you own kitchen? Comment parm for the link to order your copy today.

  • Rarely do you find a cookbook that is as interesting as a regular book even when you aren’t even cooking from it (yet), however that is exactly what you get with Hemingway's Spanish Table: A Culinary Journey in 60+ Recipes. A few of the recipes included are Sopa De Ajo (Garlic Soup), Papa Doble (Hemingway Daiquiri), Croquetas De Jamon (Ham Croquettes), Solomillo Al Whiskey (Pork Tenderloin with Whiskey Sauce), Torrijas (French Toast), Almejas Con Chorizo (Clams with Sausage), Pimientos Rellenos (Stuffed Roasted Peppers), Pisto (Ratatouille), Tarte De Queso (Basque “Burnt” Cheesecake), and Paella Valenciana (Chicken and Rabbit Rice). I hope this sneak peek sparks your interest as this is a cookbook that you definitely want in your collection!

Here’s a sneak peek into Parm to Table: Italian American and American Italian Recipes from Ponza to the Bronx – which looks to be my next favorite cookbook. Welcome to @mykitchenlit! ✨ I’m a cookbook collector with 250+ titles and a love for cooking, baking, and foodie adventures. Here you’ll find honest reviews, curated recommendations, and kitchen inspiration for every level. 🍴 Let’s savor every recipe together! #CookbookAddict #KitchenLit #CookbookLookThrough #affilate

Rarely do you find a cookbook that is as interesting as a regular book even when you aren’t even cooking from it (yet), however that is exactly what you get with Hemingway's Spanish Table: A Culinary Journey in 60+ Recipes. As a huge fan of Hemingway – The Sun Also Rises is one of my favorite novels – I knew I had to add this cookbook to my collection.
