Friends: The Official Cookbook
“There’s no denying that food is a huge part of the Friends universe. Sure, we can all remember Rachel’s meat trifle, but can you recall an episode with Joey in it where he isn’t eating? Would it have been funny enough if Ross’s intestinal issues were caused by something other than eating dodgy tacos?” Amanda Yee. I have seen every episode of Friends – most a few times at least. I always loved how much food was included in Friends – it was almost a seventh friend. The release of Friends: The Official Cookbook is a welcome addition to my cookbook shelf. I hope you enjoy these recipes and reminiscing as much as…

Pumpkin It Up!
“I hope you’ll enjoy this collection of special recipes celebrating the incomparable flavor, tantalizing texture, and vibrant color of the perfectly pleasing pumpkin. Go on, Pumpkin It Up!” Eliza Cross. I love fall but I’m not one who goes searching for everything pumpkin spice as soon as it is available. However, one of the best deserts I have ever head was my Aunt Anne’s pumpkin cheesecake. (I have tried many times to replicate it but never succeeded.) I was very excited to be gifted Pumpkin It Up!, from the author, to try some new pumpkin recipes. The recipes were so easy to follow and the results were flavorful and so filling.

The Little Paris Kitchen
“French flavors and techniques needn’t be out of reach of the everyday home cook…So roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a little kitchen work or as they say in French, mettre la main à la pâte (put your hand in the dough) and you’ll be rewarded with an everyday meal worth sitting down to,” Rachel Khoo. I have a long standing love affair with France. I love French food, Paris and all things French. The Little Paris Kitchen is a great cookbook to make french cuisine more accessible for home chefs.

7 Steps To Create A Meal Plan
I have been meal planning for over ten years. Meal Planning is something that really helped me get past the “What’s For Dinner Tonight?” (Especially when I was living alone, because lets be honest cereal or nachos would be dinner if I didn’t plan ahead.) The best success I have had with meal planning is making a plan with dinners and potential breakfast/lunches. Then I add some extra choices for dinner. Sometimes you have pork chops with mushroom rice planned for dinner but you really just want tacos. 1. Take inventory of what you have in your fridge and freezer. I do this by jotting down a quick list on a notepad of…

Home Ec 365 by Whole Foods
Swap-Savvy Baking Getting Creative with Recipes & Replacements Whole Foods has recently launched a series of four free home ec classes. I took the class “Swap-Savvy Baking: Getting Creative with Recipes & Replacements.” The class was hosted by Molly Siegler and Joy Wilson (@joythebaker). The class is short just over ten minutes. It wasn’t a traditional cooking class. Instead they gave you some good information for how to swap out items you have at home for what you are missing when you are baking. Some of the swaps I hadn’t heard of before such as replacing flaxseed and water for eggs. Joy shows you how to make cornbread using all of the different…

I try to eat a balanced diet and am always looking for healthy recipes to make. Gordon Ramsay’s Healthy, Lean & Fit has some great recipes in it. The recipes that call for use of the barbecue grill offer instructions to be done in the oven or stove top which is really helpful if you don’t have a grill.

Barefoot In Paris
“I hope you’ll find lots of entertaining ideas here and recipes that will not only wow your family and friends, but also convince you how easy it is to cook really delicious French food, even if it’s not a special occasion,” Ina Garten. My favorite city in the world is Paris and I love French food. Barefoot In Paris is a great cookbook for learning how to make great French food.
