The Unofficial Hogwarts For The Holidays Cookbook
“Some of the most iconic moments happened around mealtimes and holidays at the castle, it makes sense to reconnect with your favorite wizarding world by re-creating the dishes from those moments in your own kitchen,” Rita Mock-Pike. I love Harry Potter both the books and the movies. Food is so prevalent in the series that I was excited to see the release of The Unofficial Hogwarts For The Holidays Cookbook to try to bring a little magic to my own holidays.

I hope this list…

The Cozy Christmas Movie Cookbook
“The Cozy Christmas Movie Cookbook brings you 100 recipes inspired by dozens of your favorite films and their loveable characters,” Holly Carpenter. I am one of those people that can watch Hallmark Christmas movies all year long. So you can imagine how happy I was to see this cookbook. The recipes are really easy to follow and remind me of all the wonderful treats I see in Christmas movies. Both recipes I chose to make were inspired by Switched for Christmas staring Candace Cameron Bure (I didn’t mean to do this – it just happened).

Easy Festive Christmas Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles, often overlooked in the vast array of cookie options, have secured a special place among my favorite recipes—a testament to their delightful cinnamon-infused charm. These cookies are more than a treat; they’re a nostalgic journey back to the cherished moments of my childhood. The kitchen, a space filled with warmth and the aroma of cinnamon, was where I formed enduring connections with my beloved Nana, the matriarch of my enduring love for baking. Our baking sessions were about more than just creating delicious treats; they were about building connections and forming bonds. The laughter that echoed in the kitchen during these moments has etched lasting memories, becoming the cornerstone of my passion…

America’s Test Kitchen Cooking School is a great way to expand your cooking skills. They offer over 300 different courses you can take. The courses are broken down into three categories: technique lessons, cooking basics and recipe lessons. As a student you have the ability to sort the courses by level of difficulty, main ingredient or recipe type. I was looking for a course on cooking a steak on the stove top or oven, which I didn’t find, but there are lots of other great courses. Crisp roasted potatoes is the course that I decided to take first. I’m not sure about you but I love roasted vegetables and potatoes. Sometimes they just…
