Dinner With Mr Darcy
“So I hope you will enjoy rustling up some ‘rout cake’ for your card parties, or impressing your own Mr. Darcy with venison and roast partridges and, above all, that you will enjoy tasting your way into Jane Austen’s England,” Pen Vogler. My favorite novel is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. When I saw this cookbook online I immediately wanted it to make the meals myself. I was surprised by the wide variety of meals in Dinner with Mr Darcy from mutton to veal to muffins and cakes. Some of the recipes were very simple and easy to make, however, some of the recipes have very hard to locate ingredients.

“No matter your reason for picking up this book, the easy-to-adopt lifestyle shift of drinking smoothies will get you started on a patch to feeling and looking your very best,” Catherine McCord. Last year I had the pleasure of going to an event in NYC when Catherine McCord was introducing her new cookbook, Smoothie Project. She made her smoothies and we were able to try them. The smoothies were really good and we all left the event with a copy of the book. I have been drinking smoothies off and on for about five years now. In this time I have found that smoothies for breakfast make a huge difference in how my…

Food Swings
“In Food Swings, I offer my personal approach: recipes that speak to different sides of my personality. One half of the book has recipes for everyday eating, the other half is for when you need to feel the wind in your hair,” Jessica Seinfeld. I like to eat healthy but also love a good splurge and Food Swings has recipes for both. The cookbook is divided into two sections: vice and virtue. You can easily find a recipe that fits what you want in that moment.

The Unofficial Hogwarts For The Holidays Cookbook
“Some of the most iconic moments happened around mealtimes and holidays at the castle, it makes sense to reconnect with your favorite wizarding world by re-creating the dishes from those moments in your own kitchen,” Rita Mock-Pike. I love Harry Potter both the books and the movies. Food is so prevalent in the series that I was excited to see the release of The Unofficial Hogwarts For The Holidays Cookbook to try to bring a little magic to my own holidays.
